Based in the Brussels or Budapest office, the Senior Advocacy Advisor for National Criminal Justice Reform (NCJR) will work on a three-year “Global Campaign” project seeking to promote rights-based pretrial detention and legal aid reform as an issue of priority on the justice agendas of relevant governments, private and state donors, and inter-governmental organizations. Based in New York, the Legal Officer for Equality and Citizenship develops, implements, and manages projects in the fields of equality and citizenship, in cooperation with OSI network entities and partner NGOs. Click here for a complete job description and the application procedure.
The Justice Initiative hosts law students/graduate interns in its Budapest, New York and Abuja offices. The Budapest office hosts two graduates of the CEU Legal Studies Department for a period of one year. The New York office provides internships for U.S. law students for periods of two to three months. The Abuja office provides internships for law students from Africa and/or interested in law reform and human rights in Africa. Interns contribute significantly to legal and policy research related to Justice Initiative program development.
