Strengthening the Nexus Between International Criminal Justice and National Capacity to Combat Impunity

The following remarks by Open Society Justice Initiative Executive Director James A. Goldston were delivered at a panel discussion on complementarity at UN Headquarters on April 9, 2010. The event was intended to facilitate discussion among member states, the UN, and rule of law partners on how the international community's support and resources could be harmonized to help combat impunity at the national level and align with international criminal justice efforts.
